About 3 weeks ago (March 20th) Silas was sporting a black (actually it was more yellow then black) eye due to a run in with a sign. While riding downhill (in the vineyards) on his lauftrad he was going too fast and couldn't stop (until of course he hit something). Fortunately he was wearing his helmet - since he pretty much hit the sign with his head and the rest of him went under it. I'm assuming the black eye actually came from the handle-bar of his lauftrad hitting him. We're just glad he was okay, no broken bones, and although he didn't hop right back on his lauftrad that afternoon - he has since...and is back to going as fast as ever...but always with his helmet on!
