After our fun day at the beach - and then relaxing by the poolside - we got cleaned up (lets just say we encountered a lot of sand, in a lot of places, which stuck to everything due to the amount of sunscreen we had applied) and then we headed out for supper. We had a scenic drive to our destination...I wish I could capture it better - but sticking my arm out my car window and snapping a picture is the best I could do...

We arrived at another beach front, which was so different from where we had been earlier in the day. This was a vast beach with TONS of sand.

We took the opportunity to get a few pictures (yes I did plan that all my kids were all in yellow).

And a few more pictures....
The girls: Ellie, Shaylee, Meghan, Kelsey, and Sydney -

The adults: Mark and Lisa - Kimber and Jeremy. The boys: Shane, Silas, Kelan, and Merek.
We decided to eat at a beachfront restaurant - and it ended up having great seafood...check out our platters.

I also really enjoyed this place -because the kids played in the sand while we finished up our supper and enjoyed some adult conversation! What a great ending to a fun day....and our vacation has only just begun!!!!!
On our way home from the restaurant we were following the Dicksons' - the road was very curvy and daddy was driving a bit crazy (or at least mommy thought so). The kids on the otherhand loved it - and wanted daddy to keep going around the corners crazylike - and stay right on the bumper of the Dicksons'. I kept telling daddy to slow down, and proceeded to hit him on the side of the arm a few times to get my point across!!! (great example for my kids - I know) Finally Jer backed down a bit - and then a little voice from the back seat (Shaylee's voice) says "mommy are you a scaredy-cat?" Classic - just classic!!!!
Well that sweet little voice made me realize that YES in fact I suppose I am! I don't know that I will EVER live that down. Since that night - every time we were in the rental car driving somewhere the kids would be sure and point out to me that I am a scaredy-cat when daddy is driving crazy. I guess I need to just relax and live a little.
