Next we headed closer to our hotel and found a parking lot outside the city center (since we are not allowed to drive in the center...and if you do, you get a huge ticket). We then walked to our hotel and checked in. I think the kids would have been content to just stay in our room. They are crazy when it come to hotels! We had a reservation at 1pm for the Accademia Museum, see Michelangelo's David, but since it was only 11:30 we had some time yet. We decided to walk down to the Duomo (wow what a cathedral) and then found a place eat (more great food).
The DuomoAfter the Accadamia museum we walked around the rest of Florence. We enjoyed our day here seeing the sites and of course eating more icecream....doesn't it just look delicious!!!!
We headed back to our hotel before supper. The kids were playing hide and seek in our room. They were being so creative and having such a blast. Here is Silas attempting to hide....

We then headed out for some supper. We had more good food...ah Italian!
