Family Fun - In the Snow!

Post 400!!!! WOW!

Sunday, January 31, 2010 - since the kids were already in their snowgear from playing in the backyard - Jer and I decided to put some snowgear on ourselves and we all headed out in the snow. We actually packed up the troops and headed to our favorite vineyard - for a walk in the snow. The sun was peaking out from behind the clouds and it was a beautiful afternoon to be outdoors. We all had fun walking along...snowballs were flying most of the time. A few "snow-washes" were given, and one little boy did bellyflops into the snow along the way. It is amazing how the same walk we've gone on in different seasons is turned into another adventure in itself when there is snow on the ground!

Silas going down for a bellyflop....he did this over and over again. He loved it!! Fortunately the snow was soft and deep enough. He tried once on a harder portion...ouch...fortunately he has enough padding on via his snow clothes that it didn't hurt that much!


We also found a clearning and made snow angels. The kids enjoyed just rolling around in the snow....can you tell from the pictures how covered in snow they are?!? Fun! Fun! Fun!
