We've been playing the board game Settlers of Catan with the kids in the evenings lately. One night Sydney totally smoked the rest of us - so we took a picture of her. She was really proud and it boosted her confidence in being able to play the game. She just learned to play over Christmas and does a great job on her own now.

Then just last night we were playing again and Shane's strategy was to purchase Development cards. By the end of the game he had 13!!!! He definately had the largest army! But even with 3 victory points he didn't win - maybe he should have put a bit more effort into building cities instead....live and learn!
