After lunch we decided to head out into the lagoon and take a boat ride to Murano Island which is famous for its glas
s factories. Apparently many of the glassmakers on Murano will give a free glass blowing demonstration. Unfortunately when we were there - they were all closed. Not sure if it was the time we went (right after lunch), or because it was Saturday. We didn't get to see the actual glass blowing...but we did peek into several of the shops and saw all of the fancy glass items on display!
