Oostende and the North Sea

Brugge isn't that far from the coast of the North Sea (it use to be a port back in the 14th century). So when I was planning our trip I decided to get a hotel along the coast. We stayed in Oostende. It wasn't the best hotel we've ever stayed in, but it was close to the beach - and served its purpose (a place to sleep, a bathroom, and breakfast).

We stopped for supper at one of the restaurants along the promenade. We decided to eat inside because the wind was a bit chilly.

The next morning we headed back to the beach for awhile before we headed home. The kids found sticks and had fun drawing in the sand.
