WWII Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial - Omaha Beach

Take time to look closely at these photos and read the words....

9,387 white crosses and Stars of David mark those Americans who gave their lives to free Europe on the beaches of Normandy.
Walking down from the cemetary to Omaha Beach...quiet, peaceful today...tears came to my eyes as I thought of all that took place here 64 years ago. On this same ground where my kids were walking, running, playing in the sand...this same shoreline is where men died and the pools of water were stained in blood...what a powerful experience.

hey- this was one of the "best" stops of our europe trips. I'm glad that you took it in as well.

I hope all is well.
