A Few of Silas's Favorite Things

Silas is at such a fun age. He is discovering new skills and abilities each day (although walking is still not one of them!) He loves to play in the kitchen and pull stuff off my shelves. I have two baskets on the shelf that have some little spoons, cups, and other odd kitchen items in them that he can play with. He recently discovered his ability to stand up on the stool and reach the counter top. He will then pull whatever he can reach down upon his little head! Another reason to keep my kitchen clean - or get rid of the stool!
His favorite skill of late is THROWING. He will pick up and throw anything. He does great with balls, and has quite the arm. I prefer them to be soft and small. Although as you can see in one picture he is throwing a baseball in the house - it might be small but definately not soft! The other night we were at friends and he was throwing blocks, again a small object - but once again not soft. One block he threw perfectly aimed and hit my wine glass. Fortunately the glass didn't break - but we did watch what he was picking up after that! Yikes! Jer just informed me that Silas threw the TV remote at him while he (Jer) was sleeping on the couch. That was a rude awakening! Look out!!!!
Silas also has a new found facination with SHOES. He will put both hands in the shoes (as if his hands were feet). He will then crawl around with big or little shoes on his hands. He has done this with Jer's work shoes, Shaylee's crocs, Shane's shoes (in the picture) and even a kids indoor slipper shoes at Shaylee's Kindergarten. He likes shoes!
The vacuum has also been one of his favorite toys for quite some time. In this particular picture he was just crawling off of it after having sat on it and rode it like a horse. He is such a character! He will look up at me and give me a silly grin - knowing that he's being funny (or naughty!)
