Sunday, May 16 - It was actually a pretty nice day with some sunshine pushing through the clouds. So after church we headed up to Heiligenberg where we could overlook Heidelberg and get a good view of the Schloss. We've taken several guests up here, but since it was February (and very icy and cold) the last time mom and dad came to visit, they hadn't been up here yet. The kids always enjoy coming up here and climbing all the steps at Thingstatte and also enjoy playing around on the ruins of St. Michael's Monastery (founded in 863 AD). It was a nice little outting and good to enjoy a little sunshine. We haven't had much of it lately (basically none at all in the 2 weeks mom and dad have been here). Maybe 3rd times a charm....so if mom and dad come back again they are bound to have nice weather!
