Saturday, March 20, 2010 - Today we decided we needed to get out and about. Last night Jeremy and I looked up a few different possible "day trip" locations - but after researching a bit we found out the two locations we wanted to go to had sights that didn't open until April. So we decided we would drive to Frankfurt and see what the city has to offer (other than the airport!)
We found parking and walked to the Kaiserdom first and then on to Romerberg (the main square in the old town).
We found some outdoor seating and ordered some pizza for lunch. The sun even peeked out from behind the clouds for a bit while we were eating. Here are just a few random pictures of us enjoying our day.
I believe Silas took this picture - love Shane's face! He usually is the one to try and do everything but smile for a picture (although he posed nicely for the one earlier?!?)
We didn't really do much else in Frankfurt. Had the weather been a bit nicer (not looking like rain) we may have walked along the Main river or even done some shopping (not that shopping is very easy with 4 kids). We however enjoyed our lunch - and can now say we've actually been to more than just the airport in Frankfurt!
