Thursday, June 11 (another German holiday) - the kids were off of school and Jer was off work. We slept in, ate a late breakfast, and then finally decided we'd head to Baden-Baden in the afternoon. Most people who visit Baden-Baden do so for the baths (spas)...or the casino...or shopping. We however just walked around town (shops were closed as it was a holiday) and down the Lichtentaler Allee which is a picturesque path along the Oosbach river. The weather wasn't the greatest - and it ended up raining on us on and off the entire time we were there. Oh well -we still had fun - the kids enjoyed running around in the rain.

Our first stop was the Trinkhalle - neat building with paintings lining the walls - we took shelter here from the rain and ate a little snack.
