Technik Museum Speyer

Thursday, August 14 we (Justin, Seth, Shane, Silas and Kimber) headed to Speyer. First we went to the Technik Museum. This is the place to go for cars, planes, ships, and soon (October) a space shuttle.
A Luftansa 747....climb up and out onto the wing...WOW! What a view of the Kaiser Dom in Speyer. There is a platform under the plane.....
Looking up....Silas checking out below...part of the platform was a grid so you could see right down below. It was a long ways down. It made a cool photo.
Down on the ground I took another picture looking up. We'd been on that platform, and up inside the cockpit, and also out on the wing, way up there.
The tube slide is the BEST way to get down (for the boys).
A German U-boat. Now this was amazing. All the wires and nobs inside. Tight quarters down there too. It was cool.

Shane standing in front of the cargo plane....and up inside. This thing was huge!

More photos from inside the museum....even a John Deere tractor exhibit.

After a long afternoon Silas was all tuckered out. Justin didn't mind.
