Yardwork

The past couple of months we've been working on our yard. We've done a little bit of everything it seems. Raking, pulling weeds, spraying weeds and moss, moving plants, landscaping around the edges and trees, adding flowers and mulch, planting grass, thatching, mowing, and putting in a new stepping stone path to the garage. Its has taken some work, but we've enjoyed it (and so have the kids).
BEFORE.....

The kids each got a plant to put around the tree in the back corner.

You can't have yardwork without a little dirt - and every kid has to try it out at some point!

Silas thought it tasted okay -maybe a bit gritty! Shaylee liked getting her hands dirty!

Almost finished, landscaping brick would really help set it apart....helping daddy lay brick and plant grass.
and AFTER.......

One corner of the yard, the stepping stone path to the garage, a view from our balcony...

another added feature - my teacup bird feeder!

We aren't finished yet - as we've still got more weeds to kill and grass to plant, but it sure is turning out nice, and it is enjoyable to spend time in our "garden".
