Heidelberg Zoo

The girls didn't have Kindergarten this week. So on Wednesday I decided to take them (and Silas) to the Heidelberg Zoo. We had a great time checking out the animals, getting icecream, and playing at the park. It was a warm sunny day - maybe a bit too warm for some of the animals as they prefered the shade.

The first animals we saw were these tiny little monkeys. They were so hilarious to watch!

The rabbits and hamsters have their own mini Heidelberg Castle!

This zoo even had pelicans - just like at Lake Shetek!! Camels are sort of an ugly animal - but the baby was cute.

At first Syd and Shaylee didn't even want to see the lions -but they looked quite tame lying around. We HOPPED around like kangaroos and also got to see the seal show. This particular seal was HUGE!
